Salary Bands

The wage information has been split into rough bands as follows:

Low wage: The bottom 10 percent of workers earn this.
High wage: The top 10 percent of workers earn this.
Median wage: The median wage for this occupation.
Alternative Salary Bands

In some cases the 5th percentile, median and 95th percentile bands have been used. This is the format taken from the Alberta Wage Survey and the Saskatchewan Wage Survey. Data taken using this method is marked with a *.

Provincial data

Provincial data used has occasionally been used due to data limitations. Data taken using this method is marked with a (1).

Annual Data

Hourly wage data has occasionally been interpreted from annual wage data assuming a 37.5 hour working week. Data taken using this method is marked with a (2) .

National Data

Exceptionally, where there is very little data, the average Canadian national wages are displayed for this occupation. Data taken using this method is marked with a (3).

Year

Wage data used is the most recent available from Statistics Canada or provincial wage surveys.
